Abandono e violência: as inscrições de trajetórias de mulheres em situação de rua

Abstract

The homeless population represents the expression of a society and is impregnated with different types of violations of rights, which we can highlight, the right to housing, health, education and leisure. Being a woman in this scenario brings the power relations inserted in the considered gender concept, as a social construction and based on patriarchal relations, which condition the woman to the private space. Within the statistics there is a growing portion made up of women, who, due to their gender condition, experience this reality in a much more vulnerable way and are exposed to other types of violence, increasing social risks, inequalities and their invisibility. This dissertation aimed to understand the life trajectories of women assisted by the street clinic. This is a qualitative study carried out with 07 homeless women in the city of Montes Claros/MG, referenced by professionals from the street clinic de Montes Claros and who at the time of the research were users of this service. The production of data in the field took place between November 2019 and October 2020 and was carried out in two different environments: at the offices of the Street Clinic, individually and on the streets. These meetings were mediated by guiding themes that dealt with their life history, health, territory and the place of women on the streets. They were recorded, always with the permission of the participants, and later transcribed in full for interpretation. The transcripts of the narratives were submitted to Cartography analysis, which is presented as a theoretical and practical method. In the study, it was possible to evidence the presence of lines of forces, the lines of flight being evident in the diversity of trajectories and motivations that involved crossing the threshold of the home to life on the streets, and the hard lines, based on reports of violence in life of these women since childhood, which is one of the main reasons for going and living on the streets. Searching to change their reality by going to the streets – the cycles of violence are also found in this other reality and are perpetuated. Another important fact observed was the relationship of these women with motherhood, since the court removes their children because they live on the streets under the justification of being negligent, and the report of emotional pain with this break in the bond is evident in their narratives. with the expectation of a future reunion with the children. Finally, the immersion in this field of research apoint that women living on the streets represent a population that is very diverse in their characteristics and complex in their needs, requiring specific and effective public policies for their care by outlining the possibilities required for this condition of life, whenever they wish.
