Proposta para o ensino de Língua Portuguesa como segunda Língua: glossário semibilíngue digital em Língua de Sinais Brasileira e Língua Portuguesa

Abstract

This dissertation thesis proposes to find alternatives to help the teaching and learning of the written Portuguese Language (1PL) to fluent deaf learners in the Brazilian Language of Signs (BLS). To achieve such a goal, a didactic material was elaborated with the purpose of helping deaf students to acquire and use the written 1PL with autonomy, that is, without the frequent support of the teacher or interpreter. Moreover, research intended to offer didactic subsidies to teachers who work with the teaching of the 1PL to deaf students mainly those who are not fluent in the BLS. Researcher used as theoretical argumentation basic approaches of the linguistic studies, focusing on the language of signs, and the theoretical support of the Science of the Lexicon. The investigation was developped with students of the 9th grade of the School Bilíngue Libras Português Escrito de Taguatinga, Federal District. The Methodologies selected for the research were the qualitative and the research- action one. Results obtained revealed that the hypotheses raised ‒ the handling of the glossary containing the questions commands in the didactic book of the PL in the BLS could help deaf students to understand better those commands in the Portuguese Textbook used in that School and, as a consequence, it would expand their lexicon in the 1PL, and help the teachers´ work ‒ were confirmed. Because of that the specific objectives defined for the research were also achieved. The final product of this investigation was the Digital Semibilingual Glossary in the Brazilian Language of Signs and in the Portuguese Language: questions commands in the school manual composed of 43 lexias in the BLS, is available at https:<//glossariosemibilingue.wordpress.com>.
